@troy ah same for me. Car slept for about 5 minutes. Rivian powered down and now everything looks to be working now
@rivian_dad That lends credence to one of my theories. I had done a full reboot with the hazard button before i had the issue. And i think it’s kinda known that not all systems come up right away after that kind of reboot, some modules take extra time. So the speculation is maybe there’s a module controlling some/half of the fuse board that doesn’t boot up fast? Because ev play wasn’t totally without power, there’s a red light at the black usb port that was on, but the fan and blue light inside weren’t on, but it all came back later. Maybe it was a sleep cycle, maybe it was just time for the modules to fully restart?
I just went through this process as I was an idiot and completely reset the EVPlay unit essentially to an Android tablet. Can confirm that the following USB A-A cable works: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09FDJFJ6Z?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image&th=1 . I was unsuccessful with 3 different USB A-C cables btw. I have a MacBook Pro and used an Anker USB C hub.
@rivian_dad Turn off your wifi to break the CarPlay connection, and see if the screen appears. If so, set Decoding Method to Software in the AA/CP app settings (it is the first one on the list).
can you post here for the rest of us? in the same boat right now
@mundomann Please email alex@evplay.net and I'll walk you through getting it back online.
I was having the black screen issue with CarPlay, and just changed the encoding method to software, and that fixed it for me.
Is ADB supposed to be enabled by default?

THIS!
@evplayadmin I’ll keep trying different cords
It's picky...Windows via a USB-A to USB-A usually does the trick. For Mac, I have only seen a small handful of cords work, for some reason.
@robkoehler Reach out to alex@evplay.net, I'll get you figured out!
I'm having the no screen switch issue as well...stays on the Rivian UI. I can see the red light on the switch and hear the click on the Evplay box but no screen switch. What's the protocol to remote in and troubleshoot / reset assuming it is locking in on the home wifi?
@clark Is the fan spinning and a blue/red light flashing from within the case?
