Alex - I received the EV Play unit today. Just want to check on installing the WiFi dongle included in the box since neither the unboxing video nor the Gen 1 install video mention the dongle. Should I install during installation (guessing yes) and is there a specific USB port or does it not matter? Thanks!

Yes, insert in to one of the white USB ports. The install videos have been updated.
Thanks for posting this - I was just about to email or post the exact same question.
There are no available networks when searching for a wifi signal, nor will it see my phone's hotspot when connected via bluetooth. Bad wifi dongle? Also, doing a factory reset seems to have taken the wireless switch offline. Any thoughts here?
@bethorson - that happened to me too. I let the car just shut down and walked away for 20 mins or so. I guess this gave it enough time to shut down and reboot the unit. When I came back I was then able to connect to my wifi. Alternatively - if you click on your paired phone via Bluetooth- you can then tether off of your phones internet connectivity
@monty19 I appreciate it, but no dice. I am thinking the factory reset perhaps wiped the entire device. I can no longer get to the EVPlay UI. No change after multiple infotainment resets, nor complete removal and reinstall of the unit.
