I was getting the WiFi slow message and tried changing channel. I was able to change to channel 40 but now can’t connect to Bluetooth nor WiFi/carplay. I don’t see the access point show up anymore in my phone. I’m letting the car go to sleep to see if that helps. I sent logs(ev play app is connected to internet and can send logs)
ordered some usb cables so I can try the direct connection tomorrow. Strangely the CarPlay was working for a few hours today but started acting up so I’ve been trying to get it working again.
Went back to car and was seeing the access point but it wouldn’t connect. I went through the steps posted to reset the app settings. After that, channel 36 was auto selected and CarPlay worked (slowly). I swapped the channel to 44 this time and my Bluetooth and WiFi seemed to connect but CarPlay never activated. Gave up after some time. Reset back to default channel 36 and CarPlay works again (still slow/ unusable)

Try a higher channel perhaps?
@evplayadmin Hey Alex... I can't find EVPlay. I have done deletes, resets, resets to factory, multiple phone connections. Even drove to the country to try and see if it would show up.. I still get the weak wifi signal and unable to access EVPlay to change to a different 5g. In addition the bluetooth AutoKit keeps going from connected to not connected. Very frustrating!
Turn off Bluetooth and click on the settings (gear) icon to prevent EV Play from attempting the AA/CP connection. If EV Play is attempting to create the wireless AA/CP connection, you will not be able to connect to the Autobox connection.
@evplayadmin No thats not it. Been doing that the past two days Doesn't seem to keep a connection. Getting tired of rebooting and weak signals.
@kjjust To clarify, both connections will often appear to drop once made. Bluetooth is only used to create the WiFi hotspot connection.
Can you email me at alex@evplay.net to continue the conversation.

Try channel 149
@evplayadmin yeah. Channel 149 worked good. 161 was even smoother. Seems it’s working again for me.

Awesome! It's been pretty random across customers with respect to which channels do and don't work. It is likely a bit of a crapshoot with respect to each person's WiFi environment. If you and/or your neighbors, or even commercial equipment (water meters, electrical meters, power poles), have a lot of devices broadcasting on a certain channel, that could introduce a lot of "noise."
I also want to report that 161 worked for me. Most of the other channels wouldn't work at all. If you are having the same problem, try the highest channel it will let you select.
The channel change worked for me. I was having the same issue. Now to secure the device and put the panel cover back.
Thank you
@evplayadmin What I found interesting was that it was not just my house. I actually drove a couple miles in a each direction on the default setting and got the same error. Now that I am on 161, things are better all over too.
