A clear description of the issue
On boot up, a black bar appears on the bottom of the CarPlay screen. This covers the button in the bottom left used to access CarPlay apps. However, touching on the black bar part of the screen still performs the action. I can get the black bar to go away if I tap the “Car” app in CarPlay which switches to the EVPlay screen. When I switch back to CarPlay, the black bar is gone for the rest of the session.

Steps to reproduce it, if possible
On Boot up, click the wireless button to switch to EVPlay / CarPlay. Black bar appears.

What you expected to happen
No black bar

Make sure to disconnect CarPlay by turning of your WiFi. Once the blue screen appears on the AA/CP app, quickly tap on the gear icon in the top left corner. Scroll down to Advanced Settings and make sure App Fullscreen is on. The app will close itself and relaunch. Then turn your WiFI back on and it should connect.
That worked, thank you.

We actually set this at the factory but in some of the earlier shipments it appears the settings didn't stick. It has since been resolved.
These instructions did not work for me. My EVPlay was set to full screen from the factory, but even after toggling it to the other setting and back again, I still see the black bar.
@racekarl Apologies, I don't see a black bar in that screenshot? Try connecting to CarPlay and let me know if it isn't full screen.
That screenshot was meant to show the fullscreen setting is on, not the black bar itself. I can upload another screenshot when I am able to get back in the car or you can just take my word for the fact that it still displays when I first start CarPlay.
I went back in and found another full screen setting. I’ve toggled that one and I’ll let you know if it works
