it mostly is working now...except when cell phone coverage is absent. Randomly it seems to switch back to the Rivian screen for no apparent reason. Sometimes the remote button doesn't do anything, but the next time I'm in the vehicle it works fine. Frankly there are way too many options to fiddle with, and nothing is obvious as to what things should be set to.
When cell phone coverage is absent, then yes, any CarPlay won't function.
If the display is switching on its own, then it could be because:
-It's auto-switching based on gear.
-Video in motion block.
-Losing power (check power cables). This might also explain why the wireless remote might not function at times.
Switching isn't based on gear. I'm driving on a long trip going straight forward. Speaking of gear based switching....when reverseing I do NOT see it switch to the camera feed (usually).
@kimbrennan re: intermittent gear switch working - it's a known bug, pushing a fix soon
@kimbrennan What did you do to break the cycle of attempting to connect non stop unsuccessfully? Mine is doing the exact same thing with no luck. iPhone 13 Pro Max if that makes any difference
@gbango85 Disconnected EVPlay, reconnected EVPlay. Soft Reset the Rivian. Hard Reset the Rivian. Walk away for 20 minutes (letting EVPlay reboot). Re-paired iPhone. Made sure that the ONLY thing thing the iPhone is paired with is Autokit-xxxx (NOT EVPlay). In the EVPlay UI, make sure to unpair everything first. Then wait 20 minutes for it to self re-pair. If you change the EVPlay to automagically connect wait 10 minutes or so for it to get everything back in sync.
