Has anyone else noticed that when Waze is running in day mode it is smooth as the map scrolls, but the minute it goes to night/dark mode the map is laggy?
Has anyone else noticed that when Waze is running in day mode it is smooth as the map scrolls, but the minute it goes to night/dark mode the map is laggy?
Is this Waze native Android app or Waze via CarPlay/Android Auto?

@evplayadmin I’m having issues finding where to set this in the menu.
@takrdown Disconnect from CarPlay (if you are connected) by turning off your phone's WiFi and Bluetooth. In the CarPlay app (we call it the "AA/CP" app - it's the white icon with the green phone that we pin to the bottom taskbar), there is a settings (gear) icon in the top left corner. Click on that and that takes you to the settings for the app. The first one listed in Decoding Method. Switch that to Software.
@evplayadmin I never would have found that if you had not told me to disconnect the phone so thank you for that. It's changed and I'll let you know over the next couple of days how it goes.
I'm afraid after a couple of nights of giving it a try it failed to make a difference
