All,
So I just took my first drive with the EVPlay installed and I noticed 2 things.
1. When I put the car in reverse - my camera did not pop up. I had to hit the switch to go back to the Rivian UI. Not sure if there is a setting or if I needed to wait longer for that screen to take over. I gave it around 3-5 seconds and it remained on CP
2. More of a tip. I was on a conference call and I muted the BT call from the Rivian UI - then I went into CP where the call was displayed on the console. When I went to unmute from CP it did not work. So lesson of the day - dont double mute yourself! Not sure if there is a way to program that for future releases.
Beyond that @alex - solid device so far. Thanks for taking the time to make this a reality.

Hey Monty, remind me if you have Gen 1 or Gen 2?
Noted on the double-mute, although admittedly I feel that's probably more of a CarPlay thing and thus beyond my control.
I appreciate the kind words and please let me know if anything pops up. Here to help!
@monty19 Have you connected to Wifi and logged in to the EV Play app?
If so, do you see the blue gear indicator tile and does it reflect your current gear?
@evplayadmin - Its all connected and it did show the Blue P gear when I used the evplay app when I first installed it. I would have to check again if it detects the change in gears while in motion.
@monty19 Try going in to reverse again and let me know if it changes. It should track all the gears.
Drove more around today. Unfortunately it was very inconsistent. Here are some photos.
Car in reverse but showing in Drive
Car in Park but showing in Drive
I rebooted the device to see if it cleared but it did not. I also sent you some diagnostics from the evplay app. Not sure if you can easily find them.
Just me-too-ing this. I'm in a Gen1 R1T and I don't get automatic switching to the Rivian screen when I go into reverse. I do see auto-switching when I switch to Park.
Also having no auto switch to rear cameras when in reverse on gen 1 r1s. Gear icon has a dash mark (not a P). Does the "auto switch" setting need to be on or is that unrelated? And what is the minute delay for?

Confirming you are Gen 1. If you are Gen 2, you will not have a gear indicator or gear auto-switching, only auto-switching by location (GPS) which is not working 100% currently (known bug). If you are Gen 1, make sure your CANbus connector (the wire sticking out of EV Play) is connected to the vehicle's CANbus. Check the install video for more information.
I'll be pushing an update this weekend with a fix to the gear auto-switching functionality, as well as other fixes.
Gen1 R1T Apple CarPlay
Switching to back up camera works as advertised.
I do not have auto-switching enabled.
