I got EVPlay up and running once (with the new wifi dongle--thanks!), but the audio quality was very poor through the mic so AA couldn't understand voice commands and a caller couldn't hear me (they were perfectly clear though).
The next time I got in the car to try to continue experimenting with audio, AA on the EVPlay keeps searching for my phone, finding it and trying to connect, and failing. My phone says "connected to AA" and then "Looking for AA." It's a continuous loop. Car has restarted, phone has restarted, still a loop.
I have a Samsung Fold 6, and a Gen 1. The truck is connected to EVPlay on Bluetooth; EVPaly is connected to Rivian hotspot; my phone is connected to AutoKit wifi and bluetooth. Any ideas? Running through the steps in the Getting Started video didn't help; it might help to pin all the connections settings to forget/check if connection is lost in a text list on the FAQ page. Trying to piece together possible solutions from various questions on here has been tough.

A few things to try:
Try turning off the EV Play wifi (not required for Android Auto).
Reboot your phone.
If the above doesn't work, follow the guide for Weak WiFi Signal in the FAQ section of this forum. Try 5ghz channel 161 .
@evplayadmin I believe I have turned off EVPlay wifi (turned off wifi on the brown gear network & Internet settings screen). I restarted my phone. I downloaded opera and tried to connect to the address in the weak wifi signal thread--it gives an error message that the site can't be reached.
Bluetooth connects to AutoKit fine, but my phone cannot connect to Auto box wifi, and I can't get into it to change the channel. I am on 5gh, and was before when it worked that one time.
I've now also restarted the EVplay box. Trying to connect to the Autobox wifi from my phone send to be the hangout y since it repeatedly tries, and AA starts on my phone, but then it says connection failed for wifi and shuts off.
What can I do to connect to wifi again?
Go in to the AA/CP app (not Android!) Settings >Advanced Settings>Restore Factory Settings
Unpair from all Autokit Bluetooth connections and delete/unpair any Autobox wifi connections.
Re-power EV Play (unplug/plug).
Launch the AA/CP app and click on the settings icon again and stay on that screen.
Then try to connect to the Autobox wifi signal using the 12345678 password.
Then type in 192.168.43.1 in the Opera browser.
Let me know if it comes up.
@ro-vee Awesome. Since you reset your AA/CP app settings, make sure to re-enable the following:
Decoding Method: Software
Advanced Settings > Audio Channel: Bluetooth (if CarPlay) or Box (if Android Auto)
Advanced Settings > App Full Screen: On
Advanced Settings > Media Delay: 750 (Android Auto only)
