Some customers operate in an environment that is "noisy" on the default 5GHZ WiFi channel we set EV Pay with (36). If you see this notification once CarPlay is connected, here are the instructions to change the default channel:
1) Turn off WiFi on your phone to break the current AA/CP connection.
2) Quickly click on the Settings screen (gear icon at the top left corner) in the AA/CP app. This prevents EV Play from re-attempting the AA/CP connection.
3) Turn WiFi back on and connect to the Autobox-xxx WiFi signal on your phone. Password is: 12345678
4) Launch Safari and type in 192.168.43.1 , then hit enter. Might take a few refreshes to pull it up. If it prompts you about a poor internet connection, click Continue.
5) When the webpage loads, click on Other Settings and scroll down to the Wi-Fi section, then select the highest channel available (161). DO NOT CLICK ON THE 2.4GHZ setting, that will NOT work. See attached screenshot.
6) Click Confirm to save the change, and which point the AA/CP module will reboot
7) Delete/"Forget" all Autokit Bluetooth and Autobox WiFi connections in your phone, then re-pair the Autokit Bluetooth connection once you refresh them. Allow EV Play to do the rest (don't click on the Autobox WiFi connection).
If the selected channel doesn't work, rinse and repeat the above but this time select a channel one lower.
