Reboot power switch

As I read through a lot of the comments after installation, people are constantly pulling the power switch to reboot. Based on the fact that these units are typically placed somewhere under the dash and not easily accessible, I would like to see a much easier way to reboot the system reboot the power then the way everyone seems to be doing it right now. Personally I dread having to take everything apart to get to that power connector again

@evplayadmin For me, I've gotten it mostly stable, but I still have one issue that exiting for 8 minutes for it to reset isn't really practical.   I've had it happen twice, so I think it's going to be consistent.    If I hop out to run in a store, like a convenience store, and come back pretty quickly, I get the OEM Infotainment screen, and the button doesn't work.   I'm assuming it's timing with the truck having just shut off, and I hop right back in, and something "hiccups" with the EV Play coming back on.   I don't know the state of the hardware in this scenario, whether it has just not powered on or stayed powered on and EV Play stops for some reason, or what.   I can try to keep a T20 with me and check it next time.   But a way to physically reset it would be nice, I know that is challenging.  But, most of this is software, I think, so I think a watchdog service like has been recommended that constantly checks if the EV Play app is running and starts it if not, but maybe also listens for a really long press on the BLE button and reboots the entire device.

Just want to say - I know early release is overwhelming and probably comes across as people being unsatisfied sometimes but that is not the case at all for me, I am loving it.   I was concerned when I first received it but have learned how to use it mostly stably and have confidence it will become fully stable.  So, thank you for the countless hours you put into figuring this out, it has taken my truck to the next level!

@tjdavisbz In the situation where you come back after a short while, try giving it a little bit to boot up. If it is in fact on (fan spinning) and still not switching, yes, that would be helpful to report because that would be annoying! 😉  Perhaps I can work with you directly to see what's going.
