A few best practices and some tips based on frequently asked questions:
1) The included All-Purpose/Conserve automations are a starting point/example for you to see how a simple automation works. If your screens are arranged differently, and they likely are, these won't work as is.
2) As mentioned in the Getting Started Guide, the Rivian screen has mouse acceleration, and the greater distance between two points, the more acceleration is applied during sequence playback. When you record a sequence there is no acceleration , and so the tool is only meant to get your clicks in the general vicinity of where they need to land. You almost always have to go back and fine tune the sequence using the Edit Sequence feature.
3) If clicks aren't landing reliably where you need them to when running an automation, keep the following tips in mind:
- For clicks that has a fair amount of distance between them, it helps to put an intermediary click or two [on a blank part of the screen] on the way to the click.
- Clicks are free, so don't be afraid to add a second one near the intended spot.
- It's a good idea to add a 1 second pause after clicking any of the screens, to give them time to load.
4) In order to scroll the screen upward, place the upward swipe step near the top of the screen so the screen only moves a certain amount. If the click is too low, the screen will freely scroll which is not a predictable pattern.
