EVPlay refuses to switch away from Rivian Screen

Not the first time I have had this issue. The last time (on Tuesday) I had to unplug EVPlay from power...and also to remove the USB dongles, then plug everything back in again. That worked for a few days...I was still getting my music from Pandora. Today, pushing on the remote button (to show the Carplay screen) didn't work again. The music was still coming from Pandora fine. The battery in the remote is good. I'll have to dig in again to unplug EVPlay. I wish Rivian supported Carplay, but they don't so this is my only solution. 

As to how to repeat it? I have no idea why it even occurs. It was working in the morning, but stopped working around noon.
