Depends what you are trying to do. For CarPlay, check out our Getting Started Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogJ6orG3xQU&t=2s
If you want to download an app to the Android device (the screen with the big EV Play on the desktop) such as Netflix, then you will want to go in to its WiFi settings and connect to your home or Rivian hotspot. Do not connect to your phone hotspot while doing wireless CarPlay (not enough bandwidth).
Contacted to my home Wi-Fi and it initial said poor connection but after a while that message went away but it's very slow.
Logging into ev play is timing out and same with the Android play store, saying couldn't sign in.
@garg Make sure the dongle is plugged in to a white USB port, and give EV Play a restart (drag the top tray down>Power button icon>Restart).
It's really designed to connect to your phone (when using a native Android app) or Rivian hotspot. There is a lot of interference, metal, and wires between EV Play and say your home or office WiFi (once mounted).
Yes I made sure to plug into a white port. I'll restart it and check again. I tried connecting to the rivian hotspot and it wouldn't even connect.
Appreciate you!
restarting it worked!
