Bluetooth audio from the EVPlay won’t use the Rivian speakers and mic unless the “phone” icon is selected in the Rivian display (as selected). For example, if the RivianMusic tab is last on “radio”, and I start playing music from CarPlay, nothing plays over the speakers until switching back to Rivian interface and clicking the “phone” icon under the music tab.
If, for example, I’m listening to radio and a call comes in, there’s no sound that plays over the speakers to tell me someone is calling. And EVPlay doesn’t assert itself over Rivian and switch to CarPlay so I can answer the call. If I just answer on my phone, it of course is still connected to CarPlay. This means when a call comes in while I’m in CarPlay but haven’t switched sources: switch to Rivian interface, music tab, click phone, switch back to EVPlay/carplay, answer call.
is this expected behavior or am I missing a setting?

I did want to clarify something in your screenshot: for CarPlay, you should be paired to your phone, not EV Play. Android Auto does pair with EV Play, however.

Wait, I'm lost. So I should "forget" EVPlay from Rivian's bluetooth, and have rivian bluetooth paired with the phone only, and also have the phone connected to wireless carplay, (by connecting to the autokit bluetooth device which then does the secret wifi dance)?
