Been living with EVPlay for a week now. At times, getting a timely wireless AA connection has been a pia so I went hard wired. Other than that it's been great. Today I suddenly have a totally blank screen. I can see I'm connected on my phone and I can interact with AA with voice. I even made a call. But no video. Everything else (switching, etc..) is fine. I've powered on/off several times. Soft Rivian reset. Hard reset. Still nothing.
I've also lost one of the fan screws and can hear the bolt rolling around so I was gonna open up the case.

Confirming you can see the Rivian UI, but switching to EV Play is blank? If so, try disconnecting from AA by turning off your WiFi, and checking the Decoding Method. Ensure it is on Software (although some report better peformance with hardware...thought it MUST be on 2362x1218 Resolution.
I can see Rivian UI but I can't interact or see anything from EVplay. AA and otherwise. So I can't check or change decoding or resolution. FTW, this happened right after reviewing, watching and deleting some gear guard videos.
And to be clear, I did disconnect from wifi...still blank so no ability to do as you suggest.
@kuroneko Ok, recapping, please confirm:
The Rivian UI works, and switching works, but when you switch to EV Play it is a black screen.
AA is connected as indicated by your phone (notification on your phone says Android Auto is connected).
When you are switched to the EV Play screen, which is black, turning off WiFi on your phone does not do anything (the screen is still black).
Let me know if that sums it up.
Can you swipe up from the bottom or down from the top on the black screen?
All that is correct and I cannot swipe to pull up or down the menu bar (or anything else). And I also know AA is connected and working because I can interact with it via voice (make a call, ask google a question, ask for navigation, etc...).
Nothing. No change. Ive turned it off while connected. Turned it off, then left & the truck. Etc... Its all the same, screen does not change in any manner.
I did try that several times...nothing. I've checked and re-checked all the wired connections...and then checked them yet again as well.
