EV charge points

In EVs with CarPlay native to the infotainment system Apple Maps will show charging stations. I imagine it’s a similar technology trick to changing the User Agent for web browsers. (Like changing the UA in chrome to make the website think you are using safari). 

I’m a firewall guy, not an os guy, apologies if I sound very dumb. lol. 

im curious if there could be a mechanism in EVPlay that would make CarPlay think it was an EV and can have access to that feature.
