Will the evplay take advantage of the dolby atmos features of the Rivian? I believe some speakers (at least in my gen 1 meridian systems) only kick in when the source is dolby. Even if that isn’t entirely true, the dolby tracks just sound better. Can you explain any similarities or differences in audio protocols and quality between the built in apple music or spotify apps (highest quality) vs bluetooth phone streaming (lesser quality).
Also, is the audio switched on/off when the video is switched between sources or does it play both simultaneously? If I am playing music via evplay/carplay, does the sound cut out when switching to the Rivian UI? What if I use apple music in the Rivian UI, but then switch to carplay for google maps navigation - will both audio sources (Rivian music and carplay maps) work simultaneously?

I can't say for certain, but I'm thinking the answer re: Dolby Atmos is "no". Native apps within the Rivian Ui like Apple Music have a hardwired connection between the app and the amplifier, and thus can enable Dolby processing. EV Play/Car Play is Bluetooth streamed...although to my untrained ears I feel some apps sound better (Spotify) streaming from EV Play. Maybe that's just me, maybe that's some sort of bandwidth saver going on with Connect +.
To your second question, yes, the screen is independent of the audio source so you can switch back and forth between UIs without interrupting the current audio source.
