I am considering buying a evplay for a R1T R2 and understand that there isn't currently the capability to automatically switch due to not finding the specific connector but I guess my question is could it be done the old school way where you run a wire (or wires) to the reverse light? That's how we used to do it back in the 80's & 90's before we had CAN bus so my request would be a wireless dongle (like the current switching button) that you could install back by tail light that would tap into the tail light bulb; basically an open/closed switch. Not sure if it's possible but wanted to throw it out as an idea to see if the developers thought it had merit.

@fdm225 Hi! Sorry for the confusion, Gen 2 does have auto-switching (the CANbus was discovered a while back). Feel free to reach out directly via email with any other questions.
@evplayadmin that's awesome, I must have missed this when I was reading through the posts. Does this include the steering wheel controls as well?
is it possible to skip forward and back on Apple Music when in CarPlay using the steering wheel controls?
