When I turn on the car and make the first switch to the EVplay by pushing the remote button, the screen is unresponsive and remains so. It's only after I switch back to the Rivian screen and then back again to the EVplay screen that the screen becomes responsive. It works like this every time.
With this plus the waiting between button pushes and the waiting for the screen to become responsive on the second time, it's kind of a pain. Any way to avoid this extra cycling to the Rivian screen at startup?
I've got a 2026 Gen 2 rivian r1s, and an EV play shipped in March 2026
Looks like I accidentally posted in the Auto-Mate Bug Reports instead of the main EV Play section. My issue was with the EV Play for Rivian device, not Auto-Mate. Sorry for confusion.
Alex helpfully fixed the issue with an updated app package.
