Forgive me I'm not the best at technical writing, so this is in more of a review style, general explanation of issues I have had. I've been using EV Play with my 24' RST for the last couple months. It seems to be hit or miss on whether is will function as it should. The last 3-4 days The interface app never goes past entry screen, if I hit "reset connection" I will get a pop up to connect to phone, but it does not connect. No matter how much I push that reset it does not pop up to connect again. I've tried unplugging and plugging unit back in, restarting phone, etc. outside of the last 3-4 days theses actions would eventually lead to the phone connecting, sometimes it would take "overnight" for it to work again. Last 3-4 days nothing seems to work and I'm driving around music playing but EV play is on the connection screen. Most of the time my music will start playing once that connection screen pops up, and will keep playing even if it never goes beyond the connection screen, I can go into the factory music app and control everything. When I could get the full interface to come up on average about once a week it will show that music is playing but no sound, a couple weeks ago, when this happened I turned the volume up on phone and music was playing through phone. When I was having trouble connecting in the past and the option to connect to phone would pop up, if looking at Bluetooth settings/connections I see my phone connect to EV play briefly then disconnects, phone never connects. In these instances a phone reset or unplugging eve play then plugging in seems to resolve the issue. My previous truck was a 24" Rivian R1T, I was mostly happy once they added Apple music app(which had its own bugs, but worked mostly). Despite being a lifelong and heavily invested Apple user, Carplay has never been a deal breaker. The EV play solution from what I remember required install behind screen(I could be wrong, did not look too much into it as truck was in service for last 3 months I owned it, got it back, traded in on SEV). Just was not worth it, since I mostly use Apple music and Apple maps. I decided to jump into it with the SEV since it was a simple plug in device. My daily commute is 15-20 miles, to work, home for lunch, back to work, then home for the day. Each way is about 10 minutes in the truck. So, trying to get EV play to do anything is not worth it, if my music is playing I just roll that way, if not, I will just switch over to the trucks interface. I really only find my use of EV Play mostly on longer trips about once a month. Fumbling with devices is not something I like to do while driving.
My equipment:
2024 Chevy Silverado EV RST Android 12, had the Vehicle Wide Programming done at dealer, gave me, extra entertainment apps, turns signal activated camera, sidewinder/lowrider, etc. I have checked for updates as recently as yesterday and always told "up to date" EV play app seems to be up to date, when I search in play store, EV play gives me options to Uninstall or open. I keep iPhone set to auto update, so It is the only thing that has had any updates recently.
iPhone 16 Pro Max
I have not tried a wired connection, as quite frankly I don't' want to have a wired connection and will just stop using EV play if that is required.
Not sure if any of this is helpful, but it's my current experience with EV Play LT.
The install instructions are your friend! Log into your account to view them: https://evplay.io/user/evplt/account.php
1) The biggest contributor to connection issues are a) your phone's personal hotspot is on and b) you haven't restarted your phone lately. If those don't resolve your issue, view the install instructions to learn about the "5-tap restart functionality."
2) For the audio issue, your phone has to be paired to your vehicle (should already be) and Bluetooth selected as the vehicle's audio source.
Hope that helps!
Thanks for the reply. I have checked, Hotspot is off. I've restarted phone many times. I have used the 5-tap reset, but with current issue, I'm not even getting past the splash screen. With the audio issue, I have looked in Bluetooth settings and it is set, and shows connected to the trucks BT. If your user name or password are changed would it prompt you to re-login or give an error? I think the last time I came to forum I had to reset password, and may have reset the overall account password as well. I've never got a prompt to login, but wondering if that might be an issue. I'll give it a shot. I'm not a fan of the wired route but may give it a go, if it's more stable. Will there be an issue with having it on my wireless charging mount and wired to the EvPlay LT unit? Thanks for all your help.

I had similar problems until i remembered that I had activated Developer mode on the truck’s head unit. For some reason once I deactivated it, it started working
